Laboratories (Cath Labs)
The Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories (Cath Labs) at Oriental Melaka Straits Medical Centre (OMSMC) offer advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures for both cardiac and peripheral cases. Since beginning operations in September 2015, our services have expanded to include two fully equipped cathlabs, with the latest lab featuring a state-of-the-art biplane angiography system that delivers high-quality imaging with reduced X-ray exposure.
Strategically located on the second floor between the Operating Theatre and Intensive Care Unit, our Cath Labs are supported by a dedicated team of experienced cardiologists, clinicians, trained nurses, and allied health professionals. We provide both elective and emergency services for patients of all ages, including paediatric patients with congenital heart conditions.
