24 Hours Emergency Department
At Oriental Melaka Straits Medical Centre, our Emergency Department operates round the clock, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are equipped with advanced facilities and staffed by a dedicated team of experienced emergency physician, medical officers, and nurses. Our mission is to provide high-quality, prompt, and comprehensive care for all patients, whether in critical condition or requiring urgent medical attention.
Our Services
Emergency Care
Immediate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of medical emergencies, from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions.
Ambulance Service
We provide 24-hour ambulance coverage within a 10-kilometer radius of the hospital. Beyond this, we work with trusted outsourced ambulance providers to facilitate smooth transfers.
Medical Transport
We provide transport services for stable and unstable patients, including hospital-to-home transfers, inter-hospital transfers, and standby services for events and disaster management.
Collaborative Care
Our emergency doctors work closely with various specialist physicians and surgeons to ensure the best treatment outcomes.
Triage System
We prioritise patients based on the severity of their condition, with those needing urgent care treated first. We strive to minimise waiting times, and our nurses are always available to monitor your condition and address any concerns.
Ambulance Service Area
Our ambulance services are limited to a 10-kilometer radius around the hospital. For emergencies outside this area or in public locations, we recommend contacting the Ministry of Health (KKM) or the nearest ambulance service. Once stabilised, patients can be transferred to OMSMC for further care.
