What is the role of an Interventional Radiologist?

General Radiologist is responsible in the interpretation of general diagnostic images (e.g. X-Ray. CT Scan, MRI, mammogram and so forth) and performing diagnostic fluoroscopy and ultrasound procedures. Interventional Radiologist is a sub-specialty of radiology that provides minimally invasive image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat diseases in nearly every organ system.

  2. Dialysis fistuloplasty.
  3. Lower limb angioplasty for diabetic foot.
  4. Severe or recurrent hemoptysis.
